"I work hard to give each client the tools and knowledge for building a stronger and healthier relationship with their dog."
Every dog needs a little TLC!
Training sessions with your dog should be limited to 10-15 minutes. Research shows that dogs typically become fatigued and their ability to concentrate/learn may be affected if sessions last to long.
Training sessions should resemble the shape of a Bell-Curve. Start with a skill your dog can consistently perform, raise the bar, and end with a game or activity your dog really enjoys.
I teach clients how to incorporate additional daily training sessions as part of their daily routine.
Love is a verb. Love means you are willing to invest time into helping your dog become the best he/she can be.
When owners develop an understanding of the four ways dogs communicate (body language, vocalization, touch and scent), there becomes a proportionate increase in the quality of the human/canine relationship and decrease in unwanted behaviors.
I teach clients strategies to improve the quality of their human/canine experience.
Commitment
Owning a dog is a long-term commitment. Just because your dog has learned a new skill, doesn't mean he or she has learned it for life. It's a matter of "use it or lose it."
Not only do all learned skills need to be consistently practiced. It's important to keep "raising the bar" so that canines and humans will continue to be mentally stimulated.
I teach clients how to "raise the bar" after a skill has been mastered to maintain mental awareness.
